What we process and why
Your enquiry
Data
What you enter in the enquiry form: website, markets, focus country, description of your solution, deal size, sales cycle, name, role, email, phone and, if you came from the pricing page, the package you selected. Role, deal size, sales cycle and phone are optional.
Purpose
To answer your enquiry and prepare a market assessment or an offer.
Legal basis
Steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
Retention
As long as we need it to handle your enquiry, then deleted.
Your application
Data
What you enter in the application form: the position, name, email, your message and, if you add one, a link to your CV, profile or video.
Purpose
To review your application and get back to you.
Legal basis
Steps taken at your request before entering into a contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).
Retention
As long as the application process runs, then deleted unless you agree to us keeping it longer.
Server logs
Data
IP address, time of access, requested page and browser type.
Purpose
To deliver the website and protect it and our forms against misuse.
Legal basis
Our legitimate interest in a secure website (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).
Retention
Deleted automatically after a short period.
We do not use your data for automated decisions or profiling.
Service providers
We use carefully selected providers for hosting and email delivery. They process personal data only on our instructions and under data processing agreements.
Some of them may process data outside your country. Where data leaves the European Economic Area, it is protected by appropriate safeguards, such as adequacy decisions or the Standard Contractual Clauses of the European Commission.
Do you have to provide your data?
No. Without a name, an email address and the details marked as required we cannot answer your enquiry, so the form does not send without them.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time for access to your data, and for its correction, deletion, restriction or transfer to you or another provider. You can object to processing based on our legitimate interest. Write to mail@besser-ventures.com; we answer within one month.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, you can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority, for example the one where you live or work.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know which personal information we collect, and to have it corrected or deleted. We do not sell or share personal information, and we never treat you differently for exercising your rights. We honour the same requests from every country we work in.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
This website does not track you, so there is nothing for these signals to switch off. We respect them by design.
Security
We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures, and all data travels encrypted.
Children
Our services are for businesses. This website is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we update it on this page and change the date at the top.
